277DanceProject "This is Heaven to Me" - Advance Ticket Sales

Another Day

277danceproject is in its second month of rehearsals! I am still in the process of creating the first work Another Day, to be performed June 12-14th at Triskelion Arts in Brooklyn, NY. Another Day is a modern dance piece that explores the experience of loss through violence. In this piece seven dancers go through a range of physical states that include shock, grief, and isolation. Creating this piece is a challenge!  I am still working on movement phrases and focus. In order to get the atmosphere I am looking for, we will need to work a lot on the motivation and initiation the movement. At the moment I have many "sections" created, the hard part will be tying them together in a way that makes sense musically, visually, and narratively.
